Right now in the vineyard it’s pruning time. The vines have gone through their annual transition into dormancy and we are able to prune them back and get ready for next year’s fruit. Pruning is a vital part of the process as it sets the stage for the type of canopy and fruit set we will have once we move into summer.
And while the vines have shut up shop for the cooler months, we reach for a hearty Malbec by the fire. In saying that, it is not too far away from spring and what is more spring than Rosé. You’ll find both of these wines, along with an aged barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc and the easier drinking Shiraz Malbec of the Spook Rock Red in the Members Package for August.
