NEW RELEASE – 2024 Talisman Cabernet

An exciting release from the 2024 vintage – our first ever straight cabernet sauvignon in the Talisman range. Produced in an exceptionally small batch of just 50 cases, this wine represents a rare and limited expression of one of the world’s most celebrated grape varieties, grown and crafted with a focus on quality, structure and longevity.

Selected from the finest parcels of fruit, the cabernet was harvested at optimum ripeness to capture both varietal purity and regional character. The vintage delivered fruit with excellent concentration, vibrant natural acidity and finely structured tannins, providing the foundation for a wine of depth and balance.

To enhance complexity and texture, 70% of the wine was matured in new French oak barrels, with the remaining 30% in older oak  barrels for 15 months. This careful oak regime has added layers of cedar, graphite, dark chocolate and subtle spice while allowing the varietal character of blackcurrant, blackberry and cassis to remain at the forefront.

Elegant yet powerful, the 2024 Talisman Cabernet is a wine designed to reward patience. While approachable in its youth, it will continue to develop greater complexity over the coming years. As our inaugural cabernet release, this wine is one not to be missed – for both Talisman and cabernet fans.
